Over the past few years, Industrie Chimiche Forestali (ICF) has made huge investments in perfecting a complete product range for the leather-goods sector. Thanks to a close collaboration with their clients and retailers, the two internal laboratories and in-house technicians have created a selection of optimised products for making bags, wallets, belts and small leather goods. An analysis of the needs and problems that can occur on the production line, from small artisanal workshops to large automated companies, have enabled them to create products that adapt to the needs of the market, simplify the work process and optimising every manufacturing stage that requires bonding or innovative reinforcement solutions (pattern-making).

With regard to the stiffeners, TINTORETTO is the leading-edge, 2.0 version for the leather-goods sector. Soft-to-the-touch, the TINTORETTO extruded product range allows for the use of stiffeners even in work processes that requires raw cuts and the subsequent dying of the edges. All added-value features, thanks to the raw materials used, which absorb and maintain the colour of the contours as much as the leather. This means TINTORETTO reinforcements can also be used for more unusual work processes, lending itself perfectly to fleshing and contour polishing, as well as reducing processing times during the contour-dying stage.

In terms of leather goods adhesives, ICF offers a range of water-based products that fully satisfy the needs of the market, enabling producers to develop the entire manufacturing process with water-based adhesives, that can be used in both the spray or brush application stage.

The very latest adhesives are the ECHOPEL and ECHOPEL 716 series. An extremely versatile neoprene-based water dispersion adhesive. Perfect for lengthy bonding processes when work is exposed (approx. 8 hours) and with an elevated hold, it can be used in various stages of the construction process, particularly in the case of bags and wallets. The optimal performance stability makes it ideal for automated bonding with very closed spraying nozzles, because it ensures the continuity and consistency of the spray even when using nebulisers.

The new version of this adhesive, the most sold product by ICF, is ECHOPEL 714. This new formula is perfect for highly automated processes that put adhesives under extreme stress.
