Assopellettieri looks EastThe Italian Association of Leather Goods Producers focuses on Japan with a B2B exhibition-event that will take place on July the 2nd 2018 in Tokyo, at the Italian Institute of Culture
According to the latest economic data for the sector, Japan is ranked fifth in terms of value exports (€ 478 billion) and eighth in terms of quantity, confirming its specific importance in the ranking of Italian leather goods exports in 2017.
ASSOPELLETTIERI came up with the “MIPEL TAILOR MADE” project to create “tailor made” solutions: on the one hand, intercepting and responding to market demands, and on the other hand, offering customised products.
During the whole day of July the 2nd, selected Japanese buyers will meet a group of Italian manufacturers of innovative and cool products, in perfect harmony with the tastes of Japanese buyers. Thirteen companies will participate in the B2B event, showcasing products from the SS 2019 collection. Just as important is the special “trend area”, where the leading products of some upcoming designers will be showcased to enrich the overview of contemporary and versatile Italian leather goods.
Another highlight is also the “pop up project” which will see the exhibition of key pieces of seven Italian brands personally selected by the buyer of “CONCENTO PARIS HP FRANCE” (Tokyu Plaza, Ginza), one of the most prestigious Japanese stores always focused on scouting new brands and products.
The exhibition will last from 2 to 9 July 2018, with a special opening for buyers and the press.
MIPEL TAILOR MADE will be held the day before the opening of the Modaitalia event of Tokyo and is also the first appointment organised by ASSOPELLETTIERI: after Japan, it will be the turn of MIPEL (Milan,16-19 September 2018) and MIPEL LEATHER GOODS SHOWROOM IN KOREA (Seoul,16-18 October 2018).
This ASSOPELLETTIERI initiative follows the strategic evolution of MIPEL, an event that looks abroad with confidence and that is able to put their companies in contact with buyers in search of “beautiful and well made” and innovative products.
