The first of four events, one every 15 years of history, was held before the opening of the 41st edition Fimec, a celebrating lunch receiving invited guests, associates, leather importers and press.

Four events will be held throughout the year to mark the anniversary; each event will recount through videos and printed material 15 years of history of the entity. “We started with ten businessmen united around the purpose of developing the leather industry in Brazil. Today, we see that the goal planned by our leaders of the past has come true, “said Gilmar Harth, president of the CICB Board of Directors.

Several the events organized by during Fimec: the second day of the fair, roundtables with importers from Russia, Kazakhstan, India and Colombia, as well as the presentation of the “Leather Project – Business and Technology” . This is a partnership project with Abicalçados, Assintecal, Abrameq, ABQTIC and Senai. Through the project, a group of professionals of important tanneries from all over Brazil arrives at Fimec, invited by Fenac, for an agenda of meetings to merge business and networking.

The group’s program includes business roundtables with footwear industries, visits to the IST Senai “Pilot Tannery”, guided visits to chemical and machinery companies exhibiting at Fimec and a breakfast with chemical industries.
