Gardabags: in the spirit of the Total LookNow in its second edition and in accordance with the latest market trends, the project dedicated to bags and accessories has seen the growth and reinforcement of its role in completing purchases inspired by the total look (Riva del Garda, 12 - 15 January 2019)
In the extensive and striking setting located along the banks of the river of Garda Lake, the Palavela structure with its more than 2000 square metres of surface area welcomed a qualified selection of bags, belts, and accessories presented by 60 exhibitors coming from 9 different countries. Continuous connections and transfers between the Palafiere and Expo Riva Schuh and the exceptional opening of Gardabags until 8 pm, allowed buyers to optimise their visit to the two events, with multiple opportunities for new contacts and business allowing them to better complete their purchases.
“The synergy between Expo Riva Schuh and Gardabags has allowed for the creation of the only international business hub capable of integrating a unique footwear offering with accessories for the volume sector – confirmed Carla Costa, Exhibitions Manager for Riva del Garda Fierecongressi. The fashion system is increasingly thinking in a logic of total look, and once again we have been able to intercept this trend and offer exhibitors a trade fair tool in line with the evolution of the market”.
The protagonist of fashion was the FW 2019-20 season, dominated by patterns and animalier prints, especially found in the models for daytime and free time: for the evening, instead, the great protagonist once again revealed itself to be the rigid clutch, which becomes a real jewel to be shown, thanks to the sparkling details and the precious stones inserts.
Gardabags inaugurated this edition in an especially dazzling way, in the discovery of the dream bag and the bag for the perfect look with the help of style coach and television icon Carla Gozzi, together with lifestyle and fashion journalist at La7 and Book Moda, Cinzia Malvini. Carla Gozzi was also the protagonist of the event “Share your bag”, which granted the general public exceptional access to Gardabags, while involving around two-hundred fashion lovers inspired by the advice of the fashion coach, who were asked to choose the ideal bag for their look from among the collections present at the fair. After posting these looks to Instagram, Carla Gozzi then went on to choose the selfie that best represented in her opinion the right match between outfits and accessories, nominating the winner as the Gardabags “Ambassador of style”.
“The bag is the object of desire of every woman, while what it contains is her entire world – comments Carla Gozzi -. Before all else, it must be chosen with the occasion in mind: for the day, it must be spacious, with a rigid base that allows every item to be easily found and with numerous compartments and practical zips. The dimensions must be in proportion to the physique of the wearer, without ever exceeding 2 heads in height”. The bag that every woman must have? “A medium-size shoulder bag, capable of holding everything needed, which can then be transformed into a more feminine and precious object for the evening by simply hiding the strap inside it, thus allowing it to become a clutch with the addition of a stylish detail like a bow or crystal brooch”.
