The Kiev event, which will now take place from May 24 to 26 2021 at the Intercontinental Hotel in the Ukrainian Capital after being postponed by one month due to the health restrictions caused by the pandemic, was strongly supported by sector operators.
With an enthusiastic and unwavering spirit, the association thus took part in the project of Assocalzaturifici and Ente Moda Italia which, with the support of ICE, brings a collective of 30 Italian footwear, leather goods and fashion companies to Kiev. These include four Italian furriers, such as Anbra, Heresis, Nima 1708 and Suprema, which stand out for their desire to internationalise their collections, bringing Made in Italy to the best shops in the world and specifically to the Ukraine.
"Ukraine is an important market for our sector to preside over – comments Roberto Tadini, AIP President – As always, we have chosen to team up with other sectors, in the full spirit of association of Confindustria Moda and we thank ICE for allowing this event to take place. There is great desire to return to attending events, especially to revive the companies in our sector and to present our prestigious collections on international markets. Italy is the largest exporter of furs in Europe and the second largest in the world. These positions are due to the great appreciation international buyers have for Italian fashion.”
The Italian Fur Association represents a supply chain that today has 18,444 companies, of which over one thousand façon, over 300 wholesalers and 17 thousand retailers (data from Centro Studi Confindustria Moda).
