Carmina Campus and Moroso; two productive realities with different scope and size but a similar conceptual approach, guided by two creative minds – Ilaria Venturini Fendi and Patrizia Moroso – who share the same design vision where the value of diversity is not only in terms of aesthetics and quality, but also cultural, conceptual, and environmental. During Udine Design Week21, these two brands, which are so different, yet so similar, found a meeting point and common interest in a project that features as its protagonist the bags of Carmina Campus that are made from the leftover production scraps of the REDONDO armchair by PATRICIA URQUIOLA for Moroso. Premium velvet with a silky and iridescent sheen, but also canvas and needlecord jersey in pastel tones or intense colours are accordingly transformed into minibags, crossbody bags with a rectangular or rounded bottom, comfortable shoppers with two handles, and multifunctional backpacks. The project, which began with an exhibition that started on 10 May in the windows of the prestigious CUMINI INTERIORS design space in Udine, continued in the store of Carmina Campus in Rome and in other important spaces for fashion and furnishings.
