The first virtual edition of ILM, ILM Virtual Order Show, ends with the satisfaction of Messe Offenbach’s organisers. The digital platform, open from 6 to 8 March, has proved to be an effective market control for the international leather goods fair at a time when restrictions on physical events and difficulties in international travel remain due to the pandemic. An important meeting opportunity for the sector’s stakeholders, even if it did not fully make up for the success of the pyhisical editions.

The final balance is 1100 visits to the virtual stands where the companies presented their new collections and products to buyers in a captivating 3D digital environment. The platform also offered an in-depth programme with online streaming of trend and commercial presentations, industry debates, enriching the edition with content.

Given the positive result, Arnnd Hinrich Kappe, CEO of Messe Offenbach, announced: “In the future, we will continue to expand the virtual ILM so that it becomes the complement of the physical ILM”.

The ILM Virtual Order Show will return again from 10-12 April 2021.
